Last spring, you decided to transfer to UGA from Georgia State. You just never felt like you were able to do much there. The classes were dull, and so were the people. You did some thinking, and decided that UGA was the ideal place for you. The campus is beautiful and most of your friends from high school go here.

You arrive at the Founder's Memorial Garden. There is a man standing by the building looking up. Bender recognizes him as his friend, Andrew.
[[talk to him]]
You go inside and immediately find your old friend Bender. He looks exactly as you remember him.
Bender:"It’s so awesome to see you again! How’ve you been?"
You:"Better now that I’ve transferred. What is it that you wanted to show me?"
Bender:"Check this out! I found a box buried in my parents' house that has a bunch of weird things that look like they're from when they were college. I thought it was just a bunch of junk. But I’ve been doing research here, and apparently they’re all connected to places here on campus. Like this old burned up wood board! It's actually a shingle from the roof of the building in the Founder's Memorial Garden. I have no idea how or why they stole it."
You:"Where's the Founder's Garden?"
Bender: "It's not far from here if you want me to show you."
[["Sure thing!"|Founder's Garden]]You: "Hello, sir. Is something wrong?"
Andrew: "I’ve been tasked with the preservation of this building. I want to restore its historic facade to resemble what it once was. I can't help but feel there is something missing and that it's been missing for a great while."
[["Sorry to hear that. I hope you find what you're looking for."|keep shingle]]
[["Any chance the roof is missing a shingle?"|roof shingle]]
Bender: "Actually, we have this old roof shingle. [[Could that be what's missing?|roof shingle]]"<img src="http://i63.tinypic.com/1ftsb5.jpg" height="480" width="360"/>
Andrew: "I think that might just be exactly what is missing!"
He leaves to [[install the shingle.]]
You hear and feel vibrations from deep underground. Strangely, it seems to have come from beneath the building.
Andrew: "Y-you felt that too, right? I’m not just crazy? What was that? It felt like some secret chamber in there just opened up."
[["It's probably nothing."]]
[["Yeah, what was that?"]]Andrew: "I doubt it. Those vibrations had to have done something. We should [[go investigate|Garden Catacombs]]."
Andrew: I don’t know, [[let’s go see|Garden Catacombs]].The Catacombs are warm and damp. You can vaguely make out moss and algae growing on the weathered stone brick walls. The hallway is almost completely dark, save for an odd green light far away at the very end of the hallway. You make your way towards the light. The hallway seems never ending, and the light never seems to come closer. After what feels like an eternity, you make your way to a shrine at the end of the hallway. On the altar rests a glowing green emerald, carved and faceted into a jeweled orb. You feel an odd feeling of comfort and purpose, as if your arrival here was preordained by some unknown entity. You look to Bender to see if he has the same expression but his is one of confusion. [[You lift the emerald from its pedestal.|Emerald]]
You got the Emerald Artifact! It [[shines]] with the enchanting glow of light filtering through the forest canopy.
<img src="http://i63.tinypic.com/qzg400.jpg" height="240" width="426"/>You and Bender are suddenly no longer underground, but back in the Founder's Garden. A mysterious figure approaches you immediately.
Mysterious Figure: "I see that you have emerged from the Secret Dungeon. Hmm...I feel a strong power emanating from you. You are holding an Artifact, I presume."
Bender: "Who are you?"
Mysterious Figure: "My name is not important. I represent a special society here at UGA. For centuries now, we have worked to unravel the mysteries of these Artifacts. The Artifacts are relics from time immemorial, said to bestow great power upon whoever is able to wield all five of them...You are young and naive, surely. Yet the fact that you were able to recover one Artifact is indicative of the great potential resting within you. It is for that reason that I will offer you my knowledge of the Artifacts; however, it will not be without cost. If you wish to learn more, travel east until you reach East Campus Road, then venture south until you reach the Cemetery. I will be waiting inside if you wish to acquire the remaining Artifacts. Good luck to you in your quest."
As suddenly as he appeared, the Mysterious Figure has [[vanished]] in a swirl of dark smoke.Bender: "...I-I’m not sure if I trust his offer. Something about him seems...off. It seems like he’s planning something dangerous. Still though, I’m interested in these Artifacts. Hmm...the library led us to this Artifact, maybe there’s more information back there. I’m gonna go do more research, actually. And if you want to know more about the Artifacts, I’d recommend researching with me. I’ll just be back in the library. You know how to get back there, right? Just go east until you reach the quad. See you soon!"

We have been researching these Artifacts for centuries now. What I did not want to mention in the presence of...other company; however, is that I have discovered several Secret Keys that can unlock the Artifacts. The Cataclysm of the Artifacts blots the sky and rips a hole in the space-time continuum, pulling your soul into the rift. You are powerless to fight it, and succumb to its pull. The last thing you saw before being consumed was the true face of the Mysterious Figure looming over you. You cannot remember exactly what it looked like, but what you do remember you would rather forget. As you look through the rift in time, you see the city slowly becoming engulfed by a dark shadow. You see the souls of your friends and countless people being pulled into the rift. As the world is enveloped by darkness, the rift closes. You are unable to stop it.
You awaken in your bed the next morning. Your body is all powerful. The Artifacts have granted you power beyond your wildest imagination. You try to ignore the fact that your power came at the cost of your soul. You try harder to ignore the fact that the face of the Mysterious Figure looms overhead in place of the sun and that the sky is now an endless black void. You try harder still to ignore what your quest for ultimate power has done to your friends and to this world. Game over.

You search around a bit. The stadium is pretty huge but eventually you find the entrance to the creek Bender was talking about.
[[enter Tanyard Creek cave beneath the stadium]]
The sound of flowing water echoes throughout the cavern. The faint light of the outside world just barely illuminates the interior of the cave. You can see colossal stalactites, waterfalls cascading from springs in the cave, and large, exotic crystals in the cave walls. You venture deeper into the cave. The light from the outside is barely a speck now. You turn on the flashlight in your phone. The light illuminates the path in front of you and you continue forward, following the subterranean creek. At the end of the cave, where the creek flows out into the Oconee River, you see a tattered old cap hung on a sign.

Allison: "The waters of this lake are said to be healing waters, and that a plant watered with it will grow immediately. An acorn such as this would grow into a mighty oak within minutes."
The acorn is planted in the soft soil by the lake and sprinkled with water. It begins to sprout almost instantaneously. The sprout grows into a sapling, which then thickens and grows into a fully grown oak. If you had not planted it yourself, you would have believed the tree to be centuries old at least. The gnarled, seemingly ancient roots have twisted and grown in such a way that a passageway leading into the center of the tree was formed. Within the passage, a soft blue light glows.
Allison:"Mmmm...I feel a powerful energy emanating from within the tree. I will leave it to you. Deep within me, I know that you are destined to hold that power. Go forth, friend."
